Elephants vs Deer

Sunday 14th January at 6.45am (AEDT)

21st game of the season for Catania FC, tenth at home where so far the Elephants have won three times and lost four times.

The game is against the Deer of Brindisi, famous town of 82,000 people in the region of Apulia.

This is going to be the 12th time that Brindisi plays in Catania, where they never won and lost 5 times (the last one in 1990).

Brindisi was in Series D last year and similarly to Catania, they won their group and promoted in Serie C. They are currently second last with 14 points, 11 less than Catania (13th).

It is not a great moment for Brindisi as in the last 11 games they won only once. Catania is also coming from a tough loss against Crotone by 3-0 so we expect the players to be very motivated to cancel that loss and to change what is so far the worst start in Serie C ever for Catania. This is the reason why in the January window Catania has already bought 7 new players!

Elephants supporters are finally allowed to access the stadium, so let's hope to see a full stadium and that Catania wins.

Last but not the least, on Sunday Catania Women (see picture below of the team currently 4th in Serie C) are hosting at home the top team of the league, Vis Mediterranea. The team from Avellino have won 12 games out of 12 so far, so Catania has to play a great game if they want to win!

Go Elephants Go!
