23rd game of the season for Catania FC, 11th game at home where so far the Elephants have won four times but also lost four times.
The game is against the Seagulls of Monopoli, team representing a town of 50,000 people near Bari, Apulia.
This is going to be the 13th time that Catania plays home against Monopoli, with the Rossazzurri winning 6 times (last time 3 years ago) and loosing 2 times (the last one 2 years ago).
This season Catania already played against Monopoli away from home last September (final result 0-0, see picture below).
Monopoli are currently in 16th position with 22 points, 6 less than Catania (13th position).
Catania is anyway a new team as in the January window President Pelligra has already bought 10 new players!
